# How can I share my portfolio?

You can give someone else read-only access to one of your Curvo portfolios. For example:

* Your partner, when you're investing for a shared goal (like a house) or your children's future.
* Someone close to you, like a parent or sibling, you'd like to keep in the loop.

These are just a few examples. Feel free to use it however makes sense for you.

## What a viewer can and can't do

A viewer can:

* Track how your portfolio is doing.
* View future projections.

A viewer cannot:

* Withdraw or deposit.
* Access your bank account information.
* Change your monthly contribution.
* View your documents.

## Before you start

The person you want to share with needs to have signed up for Curvo first, but they don't need their own portfolio. They can sign up just to view yours, then give you their **viewer code**.

## How it works

### How to share a portfolio

1. Open the portfolio you want to share.
2. Tap **Viewers** in the portfolio options.
3. Tap **Add viewer**.
4. Enter the other person's viewer code and tap **Add viewer**. They can find their viewer code on the **Account** tab under **Sharing**.

Your portfolio now appears right in their list of portfolios, marked with an eye icon and your name next to it. It also shows up under **Shared with you** on their **Sharing** screen.

### How to remove a viewer

If you no longer want someone to see your portfolio:

1. Open the portfolio.
2. Tap **Viewers**.
3. Tap the viewer you want to remove.
4. Tap **Remove** and confirm.

### How to leave a shared portfolio

If someone has shared a portfolio with you and you want to stop seeing it:

1. Go to the **Account** tab and tap **Sharing**.
2. Find the portfolio under **Shared with you**.
3. Tap **Leave** and confirm.

The owner of the portfolio can also remove you at any time.

## Limitations today

* Sharing a portfolio doesn't change who legally owns it. Even if you share your portfolio with your partner, it stays in your name.
